Woman lost her job after she followed a Black man and his two juvenile children to their home and racially profiled them because she didn’t believe the man was living in the gated townhouse complex

White woman followed a Black man and his two juvenile children because she didn’t believe the man was living in the gated townhouse complex. The woman reportedly approached the man and his two children and asked what they were doing in the neighborhood, despite not living there herself. The man recorded the interaction and posted it on his social media account with the following caption: Just walking home from the park with my two kids (13 & 5) and this lady followed me to my house and #raciallyprofiled me and #harrassed me. Outside of my own house! #thisisamerica.”. The man claims she racially profiled him and his children and harassed him. The woman reportedly lost her job after the video was shared on social media.

On July 10, 2022, the Joshua Miller and his two juvenile children went to the park to play Pokemon Go. As they were walking to their home, the woman, later identified by Miller as Lisa Smith, approached them and asked what they were doing in the neighborhood. According to Miller, the woman was not living at the townhouse complex. Miller reportedly told ABS that the woman racially profiled him and his children and harassed him.

Miller caught the entire incident on video and posted it on his Twitter account with the following caption: Just walking home from the park with my two kids (13 & 5) and this lady followed me to my house and #raciallyprofiled me and #harrassed me. Outside of my own house! #thisisamerica.” In the video, the woman can be heard saying: “What are you doing, right now, sitting out here doing?” Miller then responds: “I’m just minding my own business. What are you doing?”

The woman replies: “I don’t think you are minding your own business.” Miller then says “What do you think I am doing?”

When Miller tells the woman that he is ‘at his house where he lives’, she asks him: “Why are you standing outside your house, doing what you’re doing?”

“I don’t think that’s any of your concern, what I’m doing,” Miller replies.

After the woman left, Miller’s wife reportedly called 911 at 9:09 p.m. to report the incident. But, unfortunately, officers did not arrive until 10:53 p.m., long after Smith had left. After sharing the video on social media, the woman’s name and employer were discovered. Individual, who later identified himself as Miller’s brother, posted information about the woman on neighborhood watch, in a neighborhood not her own.

Per reports, Smith lost her job after the video was shared on social media. The health provider released a statement and said that the woman is now longer working at the company. The woman was reportedly terminated from her job as executive director in the anesthesiology department of Change Healthcare, ABS reports.

The company released the following statement:
