Woman Arrested for June Murder on 14th Avenue South

Investigation into the June 6th fatal shooting of Dantay Campbell, 19, inside her 14th Avenue South apartment has led to the indictment of her roommate, Aniyah Jones, 19, on charges of 2nd Degree murder and evidence tampering. Jones is now in custody and is being held in lieu of $75,000 bond.

Homicide Unit Detective Myriah Iles led this investigation, which found that Jones fatally wounded Campbell with a rifle before the gun was discarded in an outside dumpster. The shooting is believed to have been related to an argument between the two.
