Sergeant Josh Lo deadly officer-involved shooting Mt. Juliet, Traffic stop gone wrong; Raw footage

Mt. Juliet officers released footage of a deadly officer-involved shooting which occurred in November 2022.

The footage released is from the police vehicle dash camera and from a portion of body camera footage.

Sergeant Josh Lo was the officer who reportedly shot and killed a man. Sergeant Lo has been an officer with the department since October 2016.

Mt. Juliet Police previous reported that an officer tried to arrest a person who was sitting in the passenger side of the vehicle during a traffic stop on S. Mt. Juliet Road conducted by MJPD.

The police department said the passenger resisted arrest, moved into the driver seat and began to drive away in the vehicle. At this time, the department reports the officer shot the person after repeated warnings and a taser deployment.

According to MJPD, Sergeant Lo immediately began to perform life-saving aid attempts. Backup officers came to assist before responding medics began aid. The victim did not survive.
