Metro Police are looking for a pair of “Grinches” who were caught on doorbell video stealing porch furniture from a home in East Nashville.
It happened Dec. 2 at a home on Stainback Avenue. Video released by police shows the two suspects stealing chairs.
Police said they’re still looking for the two suspects.
Those living nearby said this has them re-thinking what they leave outside their homes.
“I guess I’m thinking of bringing my stuff inside now, because I don’t want my furniture to get stolen either. And it would just, I don’t really know where to put them,” Rachel Smith, an East Nashville resident said.
Police tell FOX 17 News the month of December is a busy time of year for people stealing packages left outside of homes, also known as “porch pirates.”
FOX 17 News asked Metro Police if the city is seeing an increase in these specific crimes.
