The CEO of the Nashville Convention and Visitors Corporation, Butch Spyridon, said the new $2.1 billion proposed Titans stadium is worth the cost.
City leaders said they’re still not in agreement when it comes to stadium plans.
Spyridon said since the stadium is enclosed it would bring huge events outside of Titans football games, adding that Wrestle Mania agreed to host events in the new proposed stadium.
One council member told FOX 17 News that they need to see a full cost break down before moving forward.
Spyridon said this stadium deal would be too good to pass up and that it could create $34 billion for the city by 2051.
Council member Delishia Porterfield said she sees the benefits of a new deal but wants to know the comparison to renovating the old stadium before she’s able to make any kind of decision.
