Man Wanted For Attempted Homicide From Dickerson Pike Shooting Monday

A man is wanted for attempted criminal homicide following a shooting on Dickerson Pike early Sunday morning. Melvin B. Fonville, 43, was in the apartment complex parking lot when he got into an altercation with the victim. He shot the victim and left in the victim’s wife’s white Mercedes Benz.

Fonville is believed to be the ex-boyfriend of the victim’s wife.

She transported her husband to Skyline Medical Center with critical injuries to his face.

Detectives believe Fonville may have fled to Mississippi. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is being asked to call 615-742-7463.
