Efforts continue to locate missing person 85-year-old Lucy Buchanan who may be suffering from Alzheimer’s.

Her family last spoke to her on her cell phone on Monday morning, November 29th. Her phone was turned off or ran out of battery that afternoon. She was last seen leaving her apartment in the 2100 block of Buena Vista Pike on November 24th and has not been seen returning (video attached). During a check of her apartment, nothing was missing or seemed out of place.

She is known to walk around the Buena Vista and Clarksville Pike areas. She has also reportedly gotten into vehicles of people she does not know that were parked in business lots but has been driven home in the past.

Flyers have been posted on Buena Vista Pike, including at businesses. Detective Chandler has interviewed friends, family and acquaintances and so far, has not developed any leads as to Buchanan’s whereabouts.

Anyone with information is asked to please call the Department of Emergency Communications at 615-862-8600 or Detective Chandler at 615-862-7843.
