Clarksville Man Charged with Felony Reckless Endangerment for Firing His Gun Downtown Early Today

Officers assigned to the Entertainment District Safety Initiative this morning charged a 22-year-old Clarksville man with four counts of felony reckless endangerment for firing his nine millimeter semi-automatic pistol into the air at 3 a.m. while standing in front of a bar near the intersection of 2nd Avenue and Broadway. While no one was hit by Adam Fosten’s gunfire, four persons nearby reported having to run out of fear of being shot.

Police quickly located Fosten based on the description provided by witnesses. He dropped the gun as officers approached.

Fosten told officers that he fired the pistol toward the river to dissuade a group of men who were attempting to instigate a fight with him.

Fosten’s bond was set at $20,000.
