The woman identified as stealing a car with a one-year-old child inside from the Inglewood Kroger parking lot on October 6 is today being charged with especially aggravated kidnapping and felony auto theft.
Brandi Rhodes, 33, was arrested earlier this week on charges of aggravated burglary, several counts of felony theft, and joyriding.
An Amber Alert for the one-year-old was issued after his parents came out of the grocery store and saw that their car, which they had left unlocked and running with their son inside, was gone. The car was recovered with the child still inside a few hours later.
Video surveillance from Kroger helped lead to the identification of Rhodes as the suspect the night of the car theft/child abduction.
The parents were charged by citation with misdemeanor child endangerment.
